What to expect

Departure point

Brisbane heli rides take off from different terminals of the Archerfield Airport.

The heliports are near public transportation.

The tours end back at the meeting point.

There are multiple take-offs daily, so book early to get your preferred time slot.

Timings of the tours

Brisbane heli rides are operational throughout the week.

Private Brisbane City Day Helicopter Tour starts taking off at 7 am and continues flights in slots up to 5.30 pm.

Private Helicopter Scenic Tour of Brisbane ‘s first batch departs at 8.30 am and continues in slots up to 4.30 pm.

Brisbane Sirromet Winery Helicopter Experience has a fixed-time take off at 10 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm.

Brisbane and Gold Coast Helicopter Pub Crawl also departs 11 am and 2 pm.

Restrictions strictly followed

Weight limits apply for safe and comfortable helicopter rides over Melbourne.

A minimum and maximum number of passengers are required on these tours, failing which, it will be canceled.

Heli tours in Brisbane are not recommended for pregnant travelers and guests with heart problems or other serious medical conditions.

Some tours may not be wheelchair accessible.

A valid passport is required.

Brisbane CBD is inside Brisbane Controlled Airspace. Sometimes (eg., due to rescue helicopters landing at city hospitals) tour operators may not gain a clearance to fly around the city. In this case, you will fly past it (around Southbank) and spend extra time around Mt Cootha and the surrounding mountains. Customers will still get the full flight time.

No pets are allowed onboard except service animals.

Check in at least 30 minutes early.

Flight times are approximate based on winds, weights, and conditions.

Seating arrangements may often be in the hands of the tour organizers for a safe and stable flight.

Exclusions of the air tours

Helicopter tours in Brisbane do not include food and drinks and hotel transfers.

If the tour is canceled due to poor weather or non-fulfillment of the minimum number of passengers, you may be offered a different date or a full refund.
