Flight Departure and Return

Most Seattle air tours take off from two places in the city – Lake Washington and Seattle Airport.

Once you enter the building under the blue awning labeled ‘Executive Terminal’, your pilot will meet you in the reception area.

Enter from the airport from Rainier Avenue, turn left, drive to the end of the road to the parking lot. 

Park near the US Customs Building and Walk over the grassy knoll to the waterfront and the P1 gate. 

Your pilot will meet and escort you to the seaplane.

Important: A few Seattle air tours take off from other locations, such as Carillon Point Marina in Kirkland and Wiley Post Renton Base, so check on the place of departure before booking your adventure. 

Where does the helicopter return? 

After your sightseeing trip is over, you will land at the same place from where the helicopter took off.

The air tours in Seattle start as early as 8 am, and you can choose from multiple departure times throughout the day.

Usually, the last take-off of the day happens at 5 pm.

Cancellation policy

If it is canceled due to poor weather (heavy rain, low cloud ceilings, lightning, or extreme winds), you will be offered a different date or a full refund.

Failure to show up for your appointment without notice will result in the cancellation of your tour without a refund.

Here are some crucial pointers you must be aware of before booking your air tour in Seattle.

  • An adult must accompany children under the age of 12.
  • Service animals are allowed, but they must ride on the lap of the passenger.
  • All air tours in Seattle can have a maximum of five travelers. If you are more than five, you will be split into two groups with two separate rides.
  • Infant children are considered lap child if they are under the age of two and have proof of age, such as a passport or a copy of their birth certificate. They fly for free. 
  • As per FAA regulations, all passengers 18 years and older will be required to show a photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport at the time of check-in.
  • Most travelers can participate. However, air tours aren’t recommended for pregnant women, travelers with back problems, heart problems, or other severe medical conditions.
